Mexican, medical surgeon, cardiovascular researcher, physician scientist. I am a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
My career objective is to become a knowledgeable and successful biomedical researcher in translational oriented research working in academia with a productive laboratory focusing in cardiovascular immunopathology, molecular imaging and translational medicine.
My work focuses in comprehending the nature of atherosclerotic plaque vulnerability and rupture especially in diabetic patients while illustrating the potential diagnostic and therapeutic advantages of serologic markers of disease progression evidencing how immunologic and vascular reactivity modulate disease prevention and diagnosis due to local and systemic cardiovascular responses.
Husband to the most sexy, gorgeous and kind Mexican that ever existed. Father of 3 beautiful and crazy devils disguised as angels. I think they have a master plan to make me insanely happy.
I will try almost everything if it brings me just a bit of fun, always in search for a great anecdotes.
